ASCO, a brand under Emerson, provides and supports an extensive range of reliable products with outstanding speed and responsiveness. ASCO's product portfolio encompasses over 50,000 solenoid and pneumatic valves, cylinders and actuators, air conditioning equipment, and accessories. ASCO's solenoid valve technology has undergone rigorous testing up to 1 million cycles, ensuring "reliability" with RedHat technology for precise control of critical flows of air, inert gases, liquids, and steam.

ASCO manufactures over 3,000 different standard solenoid valves and over 20,000 non-standard models, widely used in industrial and commercial applications. These include control over air, water, light oil, inert gases, fuel oil, gasoline, steam, vacuum, cryogenic, high-frequency operation, liquefied gas, dust removal, corrosive media, and more. ASCO solenoid valves come in various categories such as general-purpose, explosion-proof, manual reset, intrinsically safe, sliding, long-life, and pneumatic control valves. They are available in normally closed, normally open, and universal 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, and 5-way configurations. Size specifications range from 1/8" to 6", and input voltage ratings include 110VDC, 220VAC/50Hz, 120VDC, 240VAC/60Hz, and 24VDC, with the option to customize other voltages based on user requirements.

The working principle of ASCO solenoid valves lies in electromechanical operation, controlling the flow of media through pipelines by opening or closing valve ports. The solenoid assembly comprises a coil, plunger, and sleeve assembly. In normally closed valves, a plunger return spring holds the plunger over the orifice, preventing flow through the valve. When the coil is energized, it generates a magnetic field that lifts the plunger, allowing flow through the valve.

ASCO 2-way valves control the flow of media in one direction, enabling or shutting off fluid flow. They are available in normally closed or normally open configurations, with direct-acting or pilot-operated models.

ASCO 3-way valves are typically used to alternately apply pressure and exhaust pressure from control valves, single-acting cylinders, or diaphragm operators of rotary actuators. They come in both direct-acting and pilot-operated versions, featuring three pipe connections and two ports (one open while the other is closed, and vice versa). 3-way valves can be purchased in normally closed, normally open, and universal models.

ASCO 4-way valves are commonly used to operate double-acting cylinders or actuators. They have four or five pipe connections: one for pressure, two for the cylinder, and one or two for exhaust. In position A, pressure is connected to one cylinder port and the other to the exhaust. In position B, pressure and exhaust are reversed at the cylinder ports. 4-way valves are available in direct-acting, pilot-operated, and Namur types.
